Talented Young Folks (TYF) is the in-demand workshop for all things "Commercial". Our mission is to teach young folks the tools necessary to excel in a pursued career and EDUCATE PARENTS on how to make scam-free decisions when exploring opportunities. Our main focus is Commercial Acting and Commercial Print Modeling; however, we offer services in other areas of the arts upon request. The Commercial industry is our signature genre in the creative community, because it has been proven to be more age-appropriate and profitable for young talent than other genres that influence youth, such as High Fashion or Music Videos.
We offer Group Workshops for youth ages 7 to 19 who are interested in working on TV Commercials, Hosting, or Print Modeling. Aside from teaching about the industry, our workshops provide other benefits to youth that include boosting self-confidence, encouraging good personal hygiene, enhancing communication skills, and other areas of personal development. Our Group Workshops vary from a One-Day Intensive to a Four-Session Workshop, taught by professional actress, BJ Gianni, at a local facility in the DC/Maryland area (unless otherwise specified). Workshops include techniques for On-Camera Commercials, Hosting, Voiceovers, Improvisation, Auditioning, and Headshot & Photoshoot Etiquette. Each class consists of script analysis, Improv exercises, On-Camera performances, and information sessions. Youth under 7 years old are accepted on a case-by-case basis for group workshops. Their previous experience, even if amateur, and ability to work alongside older youth in a group setting will be the deciding factors. However, Private Coaching is always available for any age.
Our prices are more than competitive, their guaranteed to be the lowest around. Your money should be invested in the tools needed to pursue a career like traveling for auditions, website fees and other expenses you'll incure over time. While it is important to invest in Acting Lessons, Photoshoots and other areas, you shouldnt have to break the bank to do so and we pride ourselves on offering affordable services for all.
